The exhibition of “Du Douanier Rousseau à Séraphine” at the Maillol Museum

The exhibition “Du Douanier Rousseau à Séraphine, les grands maîtres naïf » has opened its doors on the 11th of September 2019 at the Maillol Museum in Paris and ends on the 19th January 2020. The event deals the artists that are considered as naïve, i.e enthusiasts who started painting during the period between the two World Wars.

Visitors will be able to admire the works of Henri Rousseau and Séraphine Louis. But also a little less famous artists such as André Bauchant, Camille Bombois, Ferdinand Desnos, Jean Ève, René Rimbert, Dominique Peyronnet and Louis Vivin. To book your tickets, go to the Maillol Museum website.

The « Mondrian Figuratif » exhibition

From September 12, 2019 to January 26, 2020, the Mondrian Figuratif exhibition brings together 67 works made by the artist. Moreover, half of it is presented for the first time in Paris, at the Musée Marmottan Monet.
This exhibition is a real event for lovers of the Dutch painter, as it offers a true retrospective of the artist’s career through his lesser-known paintings.

The Charlotte Perriand exhibition at the Louis Vuitton Foundation

On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the death of the architecture and designer Charlotte Perriand, the Louis Vuitton Foundation is dedicating an exhibition to her from October 2, 2019 to February 24, 2020.
The exhibition is dedicated to interior decoration and design. Visitors will be able to explore Charlotte Perriand’s ideal apartment, her Refuge Tonneau and her Tea House.

The Tolkien exhibition at the BNF in Paris

Fans of the Lord of the Rings can be delighted, as the BNF (Bibliothèque Nationale de France) is launching an exhibition dedicated to the work of J.R.R. Tolkien from 22 October 2019 to 16 February 2020.

The exhibition “Tolkien, voyage en Terre du Milieu” promises to be the largest French retrospective dedicated to the British writer. It will feature approximately 300 rooms over 1000 m². It is a real dive into the universe created by Tolkien that awaits visitors. They will be able to discover this world through its landscapes, its cultures, its languages (invented by the author, language teacher) and its legends.
